What is TDS?

TDS means Total Dissolved Solids. It shows the amount of dissolved minerals, salts, and other solids present in water. A TDS meter gives the reading in ppm, which means parts per million.

A lower TDS value usually means fewer dissolved solids in water, while a higher value means more dissolved material is present. For RO and filtered water users, TDS testing is helpful for monitoring filter performance.

Professional Guidance

Compatibility testing

Before filling TDS/TEMP Meter – Digital Water Quality Tester 0–9990 ppm in quantity, test it with the exact formula, closure and storage conditions intended for use. Check for leakage, softening, cracking, staining, odor transfer, evaporation and dispensing performance. Oils, solvents, alcohol, fragrance concentrates and active cosmetic formulas can interact differently with packaging materials.

Preparation and handling

Inspect every unit for visible damage, clean it using a method suitable for the material, and allow it to dry completely before filling. Avoid abrasive cleaning or excessive heat unless the item is designed for it. Maintain hygienic handling practices and keep prepared packaging protected from dust and contamination.

Production check

Run a small filled stability sample before printing labels or committing to a large batch. Confirm fill weight, headspace, cap fit, pump or spray output, label adhesion, transport resistance and customer usability. Packaging dimensions and appearance can vary slightly by production batch, so verify critical measurements upon receipt.
